Only the Strong Survive

There's a lot of restaurant competition here in Rehoboth Beach. Some places are just OK, most are pretty good, and a few are exceptional. I promise you honesty and objectivity, so check out the reviews and ratings, then post your own opinions. Click any Ratings at a Glance box to see how we figure the ratings.

Fenwick Island is on Coastal Highway (Rt. 1), about 6-7 minutes south of Bethany Beach, and is bordered on the south by Ocean City, Maryland (also known as the Mason-Dixon Line). Reviews in this category will also include West Fenwick Island, which consists of development on Rt. 54, west of Coastal Highway.

In fact, it's a little annoying to review, because I can never find much of anything to complain about. But after a couple of servings of that warm, yeasty focaccia, it's hard to complain about anything. So I fully expected the same experience at his second installation opened in May 2011, Just Hooked in Fenwick Island. There are lots of hits, but also a few surprising misses.

As you might suspect, this Foodie has indeed made that hallowed trek, and was as surprised as anybody to discover

Click for how we figure the ratingsI've written in other reviews that there is, in fact, intelligent life (or intelligent dining) south of Rehoboth Beach, and one of the best examples is Mancini's, on the east side of Rt. 1 smack in the middle of Fenwick Island. Yes, it's a bit of a haul from Rehoboth Beach, but if you're down in the hinterlands anyway and you have a hankerin' for

Click for how we figure the ratingsWhen I think of a beach vacation, I think of relaxed breakfasts with endless hot coffee and made-to-order food. Jimmy's Kitchen in Fenwick Island provides both. It couldn't be more "beachy" in its strip-center location, facing east and just steps from the Atlantic. The first thing you see when

Peter Marshall to Charley Weaver: Charley, you've just decided to grow strawberries. Are you going to get any during the first year?

Charley Weaver: Of course not. I'm too busy growing strawberries.
