Milton, DE

Milton, DE is just a few miles west of Rt. 1 on Rt. 16. Over the years it has become somewhat gentrified and is beginning to get its share of restaurants, some good, some not so good. I will add new reviews regularly.

The Miltonian Pizzeria & Wing House is the proud winner of Delaware Today Magazine's 2010 "Reader's Choice" of best restaurant in Milton, DE, so of course I had to trek northward to check the place out. Their motto is "Keeping it simple, Making it Special," and after several visits I can say that, given the very reasonable prices, the motto is

How nice to get a Tanqueray and tonic for only 5 bucks! And a big one at that. I guess that's one of the perks of venturing off the beaten path (the "beaten path," of course, being Baltimore, Wilmington and Rehoboth Avenues). It's a hike to Milton, DE, but I was pleased to find out that one of the owners had been a chef at one of my favorite places in Rehoboth Beach. Sadly, the first few meals we had at Po'Boys Creole & Fresh Catch were simply not good, so I gave them some time to settle. Small Bites
