Click for how we figure the ratingsArena's original location is in the "Village by the Sea" center (sort of a big alleyway with lots of cool stores). It's a little bit hidden away, but easy to find from either Rehoboth Avenue or Baltimore Avenue. They have a huge list of sandwiches, appetizers, main courses and a TON of interesting beers, some of which you won't find anywhere else in town.

I must tell you that their service can be a little off-handed at times, even when they aren't busy--but once they make it to the table and everybody warms to one another, everything gets delivered efficiently. Speaking of delivery, they do. They also have live music on the weekends.

I order the "California Club Dude" (it's a sandwich). With all that turkey, avocado, jack cheese, alfalfa sprouts and tomatoes, it may seem dangerously healthy...so, do what any self-respecting foodie would do: Just add bacon! It really rounds it out (if I'm not careful, it's going to round ME out). I also like their nachos (served in various forms). You also can't beat their mountainous BLT served on their always-fresh toasted whole wheat (gotta be healthy, y'know!).

You can "build" your own sandwich, choosing the meats, bread, veggies, etc., etc. So there's always something for everyone. Note that they also have "half-price" nights during the week, featuring various specials on sandwiches, tacos, etc. Check the "specials" list on this site for up-to-date info.

Arena's has five locations. The original one is described above, between Rehoboth Ave. and Baltimore Ave. at 149 Rehoboth Avenue (don't bother looking for the address. Just look for the "Village by the Sea" center. It's all brick. 302-227-1272). The next closest location is out on Highway One, just north of the canal bridge, next door to Big Fish Grill (302-226-2233). They also have a location in Lewes at Villages of Five Points where Rt. 9/404 intersects with Highway One (15134 North Main Village in Five Points. 302-644-0370). If you are trekking out to Long Neck for whatever reason, Arena's is also in that big shopping center near the Giant Food store on Rt. 24 near Long Neck Road. Arena's is also building a new location at the Georgetown Airport to replace the most recent nasty restaurant to inhabit that poor food-deprived aerodrome. Arena's is just what this place needs, and I suspect it will be a lot busier than they think it will be. Click here to see Arena's menu. ( L., D., Bar) Price Range: Inexpensive.

As a local and regular at Arena's both downtown and on Route One South, I have to say that the only negative thing I can say is that they feed you WAY TOO MUCH! Most people would say that is not an issue, but I find it difficult to finish. As a recovering Catholic, I still feel that I have to "clean the plate." Needless to say, I only go there when I have a very large appetite or I just order the bowl of chili, which is to die for!

I have been to Arena's countless times, and I have to say I've never been dissapointed! Their nachos are a must, and I always order the Rueben Rueben. I like that it's not too touristy and pretty laid back. There is even outdoor seating with I always prefer. Definitely the place to go on a night out in Rehoboth!

I am a regular at Arenas and for good reason. The people are always great and the sandwiches are the best in town. Like the other commentor state, you wont go away hungry. Oh, and the nachos - a meal for two. Great specials, especially the $5 cheese steaks on sundays.

We have heard good things about Arena's so we decided to go to the Five Point location for lunch. When you walk in the front door you are on your own so you figure out you seat yourself. Service was slow. Food was good. BUT when you see a baby getting their diaper changed on the bench seat next to you it grosses you out!!!!! Management didn't, say a word and Didn't clean the seat. Would you eat there again???????
