Only the Strong Survive

There's a lot of restaurant competition here in Rehoboth Beach. Some places are just OK, most are pretty good, and a few are exceptional. I promise you honesty and objectivity, so check out the reviews and ratings, then post your own opinions. Click any Ratings at a Glance box to see how we figure the ratings.

"Why does Sea World have a seafood restaurant? I'm halfway through my fishburger and I realize, Oh my God ... I could be eating a slow learner."
---Lynda Montgomery

  • Ocean City, MD
Ocean City, MD consists mainly of one long strip (Coastal Highway) lined with restaurants: big, small, good, bad and everything in between. This category also includes reviews of restaurants in West Ocean City (on Rt. 50 west of the Rt. 50 bridge into Ocean City), Ocean Pines and other small towns bordering the bay such as Bishopville, etc.
  • Milton, DE
Milton, DE is just a few miles west of Rt. 1 on Rt. 16. Over the years it has become somewhat gentrified and is beginning to get its share of restaurants, some good, some not so good. I will add new reviews regularly.
  • Millsboro, DE
Millsboro is about 20 minutes west of Rehoboth Beach, on Rt. 24 (turn left at McDonald's and Crabby Dick's restaurant). As development continues to progress in Millsboro, eateries will, of course, follow. Please feel free to submit your ideas for reviews there.
  • Fenwick Island, DE
Fenwick Island is on Coastal Highway (Rt. 1), about 6-7 minutes south of Bethany Beach, and is bordered on the south by Ocean City, Maryland (also known as the Mason-Dixon Line). Reviews in this category will also include West Fenwick Island, which consists of development on Rt. 54, west of Coastal Highway.
  • Bethany Beach, DE
Bethany Beach is directly on Rt. 1 (Coastal Highway), about 15 minurtes south of Rehoboth Beach, centered on the "totem pole" intersection of Rt. 1 and Garfield Parkway (Rt. 26). Drive west on Garfield Parkway and it becomes Atlantic Ave. Reviews in this category will include restaurants along Rt. 26 in Ocean View, Millville and Clarksville.
  • Angola / Long Neck
Drive out Rt. 24 west toward Millsboro and, after about 5-6 minutes you will pass through the Angola-by-the-Bay area. Continue west and you will arrive at the Long Neck Area.
  • Lewes, DE
Lewes is a few miles north of Rehoboth Beach. Bear to your right onto Kings Highway (just after you pass Bethany Blues) and follow the signs, or continue north on Coastal Highway up to Rt. 9 and turn right. The first area you will pass on the left is Five Points. If you continue on Rt. 9 (it will become Savannah Road) you will end up in downtown Lewes.
  • Dewey Beach
Dewey Beach is just south of Rehoboth Beach. It's a narrow sandbar known primarily for bars, bars and more bars, nasty fights between the "City Fathers" and the local businesspeople, and, actually a few pretty good restaurants. Fans of Dewey Beach call it "a way of life," and to love it is to love it.
  • Milford, DE

Milford is between Milton and Dover, just west of Rt. 1. It straddles the Mispillion River on the Sussex County/Kent County line. The center of action is near the intersection of Rt. 113 and Rt. 1 which, if you drive south, turns into a commercial "strip" with lots of fast food places, including a Sonic.

Continue through Milford going west on Rt. 14 and you will end up at Rt. 13 in Harrington, near the DE State Fairgrounds and the Harrington Casino.

  • Georgetown, DE
Georgetown is the County Seat of Sussex County, and is located about 15 miles west of the intersection of Rt. 9 and Coastal Highway in Lewes, near Lowes.
Small Bites
In department stores, so much kitchen equipment is bought indiscriminately by people who just come in for men's underwear.
