Never been that big a fan of Nicola's, but there's something about that window on Rehoboth Ave. Sometimes my wife and I will get a couple of slices as "dessert" after a fru-fru meal somewhere. Reminds us of why we moved to the beach.....

When nobody's looking, I love dipping good old oreos into a glass half-full of cold milk. I could do a whole package at one sitting! Just thinking about it makes me smile. Mercifully, I give in to this fantasy only about once every other year. But it's worth the wait!

I seem to remember my first taste of a Cow Tail. I was visiting very good friends at the beach and this delectable treat was left on my pillow. Much like the sweets left on the pillow of a very swanky hotel! Cow Tails are something akin to those wonderful creme filled caramels yet sugarier and yummier! Now, whenever I drive home from the beach, I must have a (oh, who am I kidding) 4-5 Cow Tails for the ride home! My friends, you know who you are!! :)

I melt Velveeta, pour in some hot salsa, stir it all up, pour it over Tostitos and put it in the toaster oven just until it gets runny. Perfect with a Blue Moon in the bottle.

My wife and I get the Boxty at Finbar's. Everything you wanted an omelette/crepe to be, and more. Great on a cold night.

My favorite comfort dinner is the chicken dish with mashed potatoes and sherry gravy at Pig and Fish.
Hardly ever order chicken out, but this one makes me smile.

Ham personal size pizza with salad from Grottos,
and for dinner our "go to" is Just In Thyme. Always good food and service.

First time at your site. Love it much!! I escape into the ham & cheese omelette with three buttermilk pancakes on the side. At IHOP, of course. Don't knock it 'till youve tried it!

Being from Baltimore, we are quite particular about crab cakes. That being said, Woody's in Dewey Beach is the real deal. The owner is also from Baltimore so he knows how to do it. All lump crabmeat and almost nothing but. Thanks to the Foodie for guiding me after futile attempts elsewhere. Also, a shout out to Timothy’s Tap House on Rt 1 for great seafood nachos. How they make money during happy hour, when these, a great crab pretzel, great wings and more, are half price, is beyond me.

Anytime we swing down to Rehoboth, one of our go-tos are the Fish and Shrimp Tacos at El Dorado or a grinder from Louie's Pizza.

The stuffed flounder (regular special) at Pizza Palace in Georgetown. Bigger (always leftovers) and better than any we've had at far more expensive restaurants. We call ahead to see if it's on the Friday night specials list then go early before they run out.

I feel crabcakes at Jake's always warrant a trip to Baltimore Ave. Very plump with minimal filler. You certainly have to try a royal treat milkshake for dessert too(Go with Coconut Chocolate Almond)

I just tried the new Millsboro Bakery in the center of Millsboro on Route 24. It is now where the old "Slower Lower Delaware" store once was. I went in and tried a few of the pastries and "WOW". I have never had nor found anything thatcan compare to what I ate from there today. I cannot wait to go back to try a little of everything. The apple danishes are the best i've had anywhere. The bakery has just opened but if they keep up the way they are now the place will be packed everyday with repeat customers. Try them out you wont be sorry!

So hard to narrow it down! The perfect food day would be fresh, hot fries with lots of vinegar from Thrashers while sitting by the Boardwalk followed by a Nic-o-boli at Nicola's, finished off with coconut ice cream from Hopkins Dairy on Rt 404 towards Georgetown. Yum....

La Dolce Vita in Long Neck is so good! This is the 3rd time my wife and I have been there and it keeps getting better. She loves the Marsala. I love everything else. I had the Seafood Diablo tonight but I asked for it not too spicey. It was perfect! Really fresh seafood, great, fresh tasting sauce. Next time though I am just going to ask what the chef suggests and have that.
